Effective date: July 25, 2024
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in the ClipFlow mobile and desktop application (hereinafter referred to as the 'Application'). Your privacy is our top priority.
1. We do not collect your data
We adhere to a 'zero data collection' principle. This means we do not collect, store, track, or share any personal information about you or your activities.
- We do not collect usage statistics.
- We do not use analytical tools.
- We do not require registration or account creation.
2. How clipboard synchronization works
The Application uses the Firebase Realtime Database service to synchronize your clipboard data between devices. However, we have designed the system so that we do not have access to your content:
- End-to-end encryption: All data you copy is encrypted on your device using a key known only to you.
- Zero access: The encrypted data is transmitted to Firebase and stored there as an unreadable set of characters. As developers, we do not have the keys to decrypt it and cannot view your content.
- Temporary storage: Clipboard data is stored in Firebase only to ensure synchronization and is automatically deleted.
Thus, although third-party servers (Google Firebase) are used for the service to function, your information remains completely confidential and inaccessible to us and anyone else.
3. Application permissions
The Application may request access to the clipboard on your device. This permission is critical for performing the main function — synchronizing copied text. We do not use this access for any other purposes.
4. Children's privacy
Our Application is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information, as we do not collect data at all.
5. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page. We recommend reviewing it periodically.
